We pride ourselves on being a friendly community led studio and we are wholly invested in the wellbeing of our clients. With over 70 classes a week, Pause may be a small studio but it is a busy one! We are lucky to have excellent teachers at Pause, who foster a safe and empowering environment for our clients to explore their strengths.

We’re looking for an ad-hoc graphic designer to help us firstly with the roll out of our newly created brand identity and on a continuous rolling monthly basis thereafter.

Responsibilities

  • Update and design to brief, printed marketing materials including posters, gift cards, and leaflets for multiple studio locations.

  • Refresh and create social media templates for various platforms to promote our different locations, services and campaigns.

  • Design and update email marketing templates for studio-wide and location-specific communications.

  • Make visual updates to website content as needed, including for new location launches.

  • Create cohesive signage and environmental graphics for new studio locations.

  • Ensure all designs maintain brand consistency across all platforms and locations.

  • Support marketing initiatives related to studio expansion and new location openings.

  • Work efficiently with quick turnaround times for ad hoc requests.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating versatility and modernity.

  • Experienced user of Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).

  • Proficient in Canva.

  • Working knowledge of Figma.

  • Experience working with established brand guidelines and templates.

  • Knowledge of digital design principles for web, email, and social media.

  • Understanding of print production requirements and specifications.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to interpret design briefs effectively.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work at pace.

  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp and Campaign Monitor).

  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for email and web design.

  • Knowledge of social media platform specifications and best practices.

  • Experience working with content management systems.

  • Understanding of aesthetics that appeal to wellness and mindfulness audiences.

  • Appreciation for minimalist, clean design that reflects mindful movement and wellbeing.

  • Previous work with wellness, fitness, or lifestyle brands would be preferred but not essential.

Working Arrangement

  • This is a long-term freelance partnership with variable monthly workload.

  • Initially requires a larger time commitment as we implement our new brand identity.

  • After the initial brand rollout, work will transition to regular maintenance and seasonal campaigns.

  • Monthly hours will vary based on studio needs and marketing calendar but as a guide, around 2 days per month.

  • Designer must be responsive and available for projects with quick turnaround times.

  • Primarily remote work with occasional in-person meetings at our East London studio.

  • Projects will be assigned with clear briefs and deadlines.

Reformer and Fully Comprehensive Pilates Teachers

Reformer and Fully Comprehensive Pilates Teachers

We are looking for skilled Reformer and Comprehensively trained Pilates teachers trained in using all apparatus, including the Reformer, Tower and Wunda Chair. The ideal candidates will lead engaging group and private classes, tailoring sessions to clients of all fitness levels.

Responsibilities include demonstrating proper techniques, offering modifications, and ensuring a safe and motivating environment. A deep understanding of Pilates principles and a passion for client wellness are essential.

Front of House

Front of House (FOH) Team Member - NOT CURRENTLY HIRING

Even though we are no longer looking for candidates, we would still love to hear from you if you think you would be a good fit for this role.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and client-focused Front of House (FOH) Team Member to join our friendly team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the welcoming face of our studio, providing excellent client service.

  • Use our CRM system daily to check clients into classes, manage bookings, and update accounts.

  • Perform ad-hoc tasks, such as creating posters for studio events.

  • Ensure the studio and waiting area are clean, organised, and inviting.

Shifts & Requirements:

  • Weekday evening and weekend shifts, with a minimum of 2.5 hours per shift.

  • An interest in yoga and/or pilates is essential—if you’re a teacher, that’s even better!

  • Hospitality background is a bonus but not required.

  • Must be tech-savvy, quick to learn new systems, and comfortable adapting to new tools.

  • Ideally the candidate would be local to Leyton or within a 5 mile radius of the studio.
