Yoga Classes In Wanstead

Pause Studio, located in the heart of Leyton, close to Wanstead, is a small, friendly studio offering a range of classes including pregnancy yoga, yin yoga, postnatal yoga and women's only yoga, we also provide vinyasa flow yoga.

We maintain that yoga and pilates are for everyone, and we mean it, our studio is a relaxed and inclusive environment. We offer smaller classes meaning our teachers can provide students with more attention, making Pause the perfect space for you, whether you've been practising yoga for years, or are a complete beginner.

At our Leyton studio, just a stone's throw from Wanstead, we have yoga and pilates classes seven days a week and have classes to suit all levels. Our friendly and supportive teachers are ready to guide you through a class

What we offer

Vinyasa Flow


Classes will include dynamic and fun sequences to build strength, balance, and flexibility. Open to yogis of all levels, modifications will be offered to make postures easier or more challenging throughout the class.

Pregnant people from 12 weeks onwards with an existing yoga practise are welcome to attend this class.

Slow Flow


This nourishing class fuses the dynamism of physical asana with the broader spiritual and psychological aspects of yoga. The class starts with a smooth breath-led, alignment-based flow before transitioning to quieter breath work and meditation to bring a harmonious balance to body and mind.

Open to all levels including pregnant people from 12 weeks

Yin Yoga


Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga. A deliciously relaxing but powerful practice which targets the connective tissues, bringing your body and mind to a stillness. Expect to hold relaxing poses for longer periods. All you have to do is get comfortable and let your body do the rest.

Pregnant people from 12 weeks onwards with an existing yoga practise are welcome to attend this class.

Dynamic Vinyasa


This class involves a series of flowing postures that transition smoothly from one to the next, creating an energetic and rhythmic practice. This style often emphasises strength, flexibility, and endurance, with a focus on building heat in the body through movement and breath, making it more intense and physically engaging compared to slower forms of yoga.

Pregnancy Yoga


This class is suitable for mummas to be from 12 weeks to full term and welcomes all levels, whether you’re completely new to yoga or a practiced yogi. The class incorporates breath and movement, aiming to relieve any discomfort brought on by pregnancy, whilst gently encouraging the opening of the pelvis with postures to birth your baby. Each class will end with some time for relaxation.

Postnatal Yoga


Postnatal yoga is the perfect way to help postpartum recovery whilst bonding with your baby. This class is suitable for babies from 6 weeks to crawling. Please ensure you’ve had your 6-8 week check with your GP and they have cleared you for exercise.
